- Kanger CUPTI 2 Starter Kit
The sequel to the awesome Kanger Cupti is finally here – featuring a redesigned form factor, a more powerful chipset, and a new tank adapter that allows you to use the box mod with any ejuice delivery device of your choice.
What's New With The Cupti 2 Starter Kit?
Form Factor - The original Cupti is a smaller version of the NEBOX which had a smooth box chassis with curved edges, sitting comfortably inside the palm of your hand. The new Cupti 2 looks more like a Wismec Reuleaux – a heavy and bulky device with a thicker battery side.
Battery Chamber - The increase in size of the Cupti 2 is due to its expanded battery chamber which now stores two 18650 batteries instead of one in the original Cupti.
Weight - Obviously with two batteries inside, the Cupti 2 has to pack on additional weight. While the first Cupti was very light at 7.5 ounces, the new Cupti 2 is now a whopping 16 ounces.
Power - The battery requirement of the Cupti 2 is in line with its all-new chipset that can now fire up to 80 watts, which you can even upgrade to 100 watts through a firmware upgrade. The original Cupti had a maximum power output of only 75 watts.
Control Face - One of the unique features of the first Cupti vaporizer is the top control face. The screen and function buttons were located right beside the drip tip which made them easier to view and adjust while vaping. Because of the design makeover of the Cupti 2, the control face is back to a more traditional look with the OLED display and adjustment buttons moved to the side.
Function Switch - The up and down two-button look is pretty much standard in box mods. In the new Cupti 2, Kanger decided to modernize the function buttons by replacing them with a switch that lets you toggle between plus and minus.
Fire Switch - Kanger has replaced the small round button of the Cupti with a sizeable square fire switch in the Cupti 2, which makes it easier to locate and click.
Atomizer Adapter - This is probably the most important addition to the new Cupti 2 device. Vapers love options, but the first version of the Cupti offered very minimal customization because of its built-in tank. The Cupti 2 still has an integrated tank inside the mod but now comes with an atomizer adapter so you can use it like a regular box mod with your own tank or dripper.
The Cupti 2 By KangerTech
The Kanger Cupti 2 is almost double the size of its predecessor measuring 104.7mm long, 50.8mm wide, and 41.2mm thick.
The chassis is made of aluminum zinc alloy which gives it a lightweight and sturdy profile. Along the side of the mod is a built-in Pyrex glass tank that can store up to 5ml of e-juice. The Cupti 2 body is marked with a maximum fill guide so you do not overfill the tank.
On the opposite side is a square fire button, a plus and minus adjustment switch, and a horizontal OLED screen that displays atomizer resistance, voltage, wattage, temperature, battery level, and vape mode.
The Kanger Cupti 2 can fire up to 80 watts and supports nickel, titanium, nichrome and stainless steel atomizers.
The Cupti 2 box mod is powered by two 18650 high amp batteries which are not included in the kit. Although the Cupti 2 mod has a micro USB port, we highly recommend that you charge your 18650 batteries on an external device.
The Kanger Cupti 2 starter kit comes with a removable Delrin drip tip. This mouthpiece is connected to a slim vertical chimney that runs through the entire length of the tank.
The Pyrex glass tank is removable so you can run it under the faucet to completely remove the taste of your last e-liquid. In case it breaks, you can purchase a replacement from KangerTech.
The most crucial component of your Cupti 2 tank is the atomizer. The Cupti 2 is compatible with CLOCC atomizers made of nichrome for variable wattage mode as well as CLOCC ni200 atomizers made of stainless steel for temperature control vaping.
Top Airflow Control
The airflow valve of the Cupti 2 is mounted right under the drip tip which allows you to cool the vapor before it reaches your mouth. Air is drawn by a pair of 10mm by 2mm horizontal slots drilled around the top cap and feeds through the chimney and down into the coil.
KangerTech now gives you the option to use your own clearomizer or dripper with the Cupti 2 box mod. Included in the Cupti 2 starter kit is an atomizer adapter that is shaped like the static chimney. On top of this adapter is a standard 510 threaded connection with a gold-plated center pin that fits flush with any 22mm tank or dripper.
